At the southern tip of the island you can visit the oldest building on Gasparilla Island. It was constructed in 1890 and is one of just six lighthouses in Florida that is open to the public. Be sure to visit the museum and gift shop inside the lighthouse. Check out their website for current hours of operation.

There are also marked public beach accesses between First and 19th Street. Keep in mind that you will be required to pay a small fee to park at the State Parks.
